Dr. Thomas Anderson is a dedicated and meticulous optometrist with over 20 years of experience in comprehensive eye care. A graduate of Northeastern State University College of Optometry, he earned his degree Summa Cum Laude, reflecting his strong commitment to academic and clinical excellence. He provides care for patients of all ages—from pediatric to geriatric—and manages a wide range of eye conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, corneal abrasions, corneal foreign bodies, infectious corneal ulcers, and eye infections. In addition to medical eye care, Dr. Anderson also offers routine vision exams and contact lens fittings. With his extensive experience and patient-focused approach, Dr. Anderson is proud to continue the tradition of exceptional care at Eye Specialists of Atchison. Originally from Fort Scott, Kansas, Dr. Anderson values small-town roots and community relationships. He currently lives in Smithville, Missouri, with his wife Andi, their daughter, three sons, and two dogs. On weekends, they enjoy spending time outdoors. When he’s not attending one of his children’s sporting or school events, you’ll likely find him barbecuing, fishing, hunting, boating, or walking his dogs.
